Finding Balance

These days I am finding my life to be more about balancing than juggling.  While the children and our home keep me busy with day to day stuff,  my biggest challenge is to find a balance. To look out for my own interests and dreams, not just those of my husband and our children.  To remind myself that giving so much of myself for the benefit of our family should not mean I abandon my other dreams in the process.
I am so incredibly grateful to have a husband who gets this.

On another note, two-thirds of our offspring go back to school this week.  I'm sure I will have some melancholic mornings as I send them off to school, but I assure you, I will get over this quickly. ;)
I am looking forward to posting more regularly, and getting you caught up on all that we've been up to around here.

* The scale pictured above is my favorite find from our getaway to Maryland's Eastern Shore. I will be sharing more about that trip in the near future.

  1. Yay! Your back! :) Can't wait for MY 2/3s to go back to school, so my 1/3 and I can meet you and your 1/3 for shopping!

  2. Phew! Thank goodness I have at least one reader still out there! Thanks Jen! Looking forward to it! :)

  3. Add one more reader. I just about gave up on you. ;)

Looking forward to your future posts!!!

BTW...I hear you on finding balance. I often feel the true test in life is to find the right balance...of sweet and savory, work and play, silliness and discipline...

  4. Thanks Kim! I'm glad you didn't abandon me because it's about to get interesting! ;)
